1993 Marshall 1959SLP Superlead Reissue 100w Plexi Head

SOLD

Excellent Condition. This version of the reissue Superlead, was offered from 1993-1995 and they are known for providing the tone of the vintage Superleads. Here is information from Mike Doyle's Marshall book on this amplifier:

a) based on a SPECIFIC CIRCUIT ONLY MADE in late circa 1968 through mid 1969; and

b) based on a specific unit we found which, after comparisons, we thought sounded the best, and the components are matched to those in that unit.

.... Hence the sound is dirtier yet smoother, with more balls and less cuting edge than that which characterised the 1959s of the seventies and eighties.

These Superlead Reissues can be identified by their non-PCB mounted pots. The pots on the 93-95 SLP amplifiers have hand wired pots, like the 1973 PCB SLP amplifiers.

2008 Gibson BFG Black Les Paul

SOLD

A stripped-down, rock 'n' roll flamethrower, the Les Paul BFG is the most powerful Les Paul Gibson has ever made. Blasted back to the bare essentials, the BFG is the Les Paul for guitarists who want it loud, raw, and wild. Two volumes and one tone knob control the sonic spectrum put out by a high-powered Burstbucker 3 humbucker in the bridge and a screaming, single-coil P-90 in the neck. The traditional toggle has been rewired as a kill switch, and a mini-toggle at the volume knobs controls pickup selection. An innovative powerhouse, the BFG has no binding, no figured top, no finishing touches. This gives the BFG a distinctive look that is both modern and vintage, while allowing for a price that makes pure Les Paul performance available to all players. The result is a perfect storm of eye-catching style, incredible tone, and unbeatable playability -- all at a great price. Destined to be a classic.

Lightweight guitar, very nice condition, with hard shell case.

To this end the amplifier circuit is hand-wired on a hand-built tagboard and the chassis is constructed from aluminum, and features KT66 tubes set , 4x12 semi open cab features 12" Celestion Alnico speakers. Leather binding is clean. As a direct result of their diligence and attention to detail, this stunning reissue looks and sounds exactly like the much sought after original.

The offset JTM45 half stack consists of the offset-chassis JTM45 head and 4"x12" offset speaker cabinet with a semi-open back design. Authentic handwired tag board circuitry and KT66 power tubes are housed in an aluminum chassis, true to the original, which was built in 1962. Every effort has been made to preserve the pristine sound and aesthetics of these amplifiers, right down to the 12" Celestion Alnico speakers and the extremely rare rectangular metal, red block lettered Marshall "coffin" shaped logo. The JTM45 also features the same black vinyl covering, white/gray grille cloth and white front panel as the original.

"Used" Marshall Limited Edition Super 100JH Handwired Jimi Hendrix Stack - Limited Run of 500 units

Sold

The Marshall Super 100JH Jimi Hendrix stack consists of the Super 100JH head, the angled 1982AJH 4 x 12" cabinet, and the extra-tall, straight-front 1982JH 4 x 12" cab. The original version of this iconic tall, pinstriped stack was built in 1966. The Super 100 head was the immediate successor to Marshall's first ever 100W headthe famous dual output transformer JTM45/100.

In contrast to the diverse array of rich tones it generates, the Super 100JH is an extremely straightforward amplifier. Its two channelsHigh Treble and Normaleach have dual inputs (high and low sensitivity) and separate loudness (volume) controls. Both channels share the amplifier's four tone controls: treble, middle, bass and presence. There are three ECC83 (12AX7) valves in the preamp and a quartet of KT66 valves in the power amp, the standard issue in mid-'60s Marshall Amplifiers. The all-important power transformers are built by Drake, the original manufacturer.

The Super 100JH stack's two 4 x 12" speaker cabinetsthe angled 1982AJH and straight 1982BJHhave been reissued to complete the majestic look of the original pinstriped stacks that Jimi used. The 1982BJH is nearly 7" taller than a standard Marshall 4 x 12", adding further to the impressive look of the stack. Both JH cabs are loaded with Celestion G12C 25W speakersspecially developed by Marshall and Celestion to duplicate the sound of the original speakers found in cabinets from that era.

A limited run of Super 100JH Jimi Hendrix stacks is available. Each head is individually numbered and comes with an exclusive certificate, personally signed by Dr. Jim Marshall, OBE. The certificate and handbook will come housed in a unique presentation folder.
