Clint is a professional song writer, singer and guitarist. He uses his PRX150-Pro attenuator in his studio on a weekly basis, to record his amplifiers at reasonably low volume levels.
The following clips are excerpts from the songs "Hot Rod", "Fixin For a Fight" and "Heaven Eyes". They are examples of how the PRX150-Pro can be used to reduce the power to the speaker to a very low volume level and yet the amplifier's tone and the player's dynamics are captured as if the speaker was at full volume. Clint had the PRX150-Pro set on the Step Attenuation "E" position. Based on the amplifier's settings, the actual power hitting the speaker was less than 0.5 watt.

About "Fixin For a Fight" and "I've Got Heaven In My Eyes":
One of the services Clint offers is turning songwriter's lyrics into complete songs. Clint was contracted by a couple of songwriters to turn their lyrics into complete demo songs. These songs feature Clint's outstanding vocals and guitar work, as well as his music writing capabilities. Clint turned up the amp to hit its "sweet" spot and then used the PRX150-Pro to reduce the speaker's volume down to "bedroom" levels. We love Clint's work on these songs and hope someday soon, these demos will lead to the songs becoming chart hits!
PRX150-Pro Audio Clip
When Clint initially received his PRX150-Pro attenuator, he immediately threw a mic in front of his cabinet and sent us this demo clip. The PRX150-Pro was set in the Variable Attenuation (bedroom) mode, and the power level at the speaker was well under 1 watt. The couple "clicks" you hear, is Clint activating-deactivating his overdrive pedal.

3 Monkeys Orangutan 1x12 Combo with a Celestion G12H, Nash Strat with a De Armond Gold Foil in the bridge position and Lollars in the middle and neck positions, various pedals, Sennheiser 906 mic. The audio was level matched in parts of the video.
Clint's comments on the PRX150-Pro power attenuator:
Compared to my previous attenuators, the PRX150-Pro is far superior! I have used (brand x and y passive attenuators), and the (brand z active attenuator). The PRX150 smokes them all. My search for an attenuator that can maintain the exact tone of my amp is finally over.
I just dial in the sweet spot on my 3 Monkeys Orangutan amp and use the PRX150 to bring it down in volume, while maintaining all of the amp's tone. Even in the Variable Attenuation mode, I don't lose any top end, dynamics or get any of that fizzy distortion that I did with the other brands of attenuators.
Jeff is a great guy as well. He stands by his products 100% and has been a huge help in my quest for the "Ultimate Tone". After buying the PRX150, I decided to get an ARACOM amplifier as well....more on that product a bit later.
For me, the PRX150 is an essential tool when I am performing live or recording in the studio. BUY ONE.....you wont regret it and your ears will thank you.
